It's cutting them loose and having the pack run the rabbit until it gives up and goes in a hole or gets caught. And although the dogs usually don't catch it, they run like they want to. Just me and my pack of hounds, in any condition, on any day, in the roughest places I can find . . .

I Hate Rabbits

C'mon, where did you go?  I go to a clearcut that I have run at least once a week for the last several months.  In over 90 minutes I never even have a bark.  What is going on?  It's the same dogs.  It's the same place.  The rabbits are not playing fair.

This spot has been my best running spot all winter.  Tonight, what is going on?  There isn't even a hint of scent or rabbit anywhere.  The heck with you.  I am out of here.  I am going to another spot where the rabbits want to run and play fair.

And wouldn't you know, as soon as I moved, the rabbits ran great.  Was it the time of day?  Was it a new spot for the dogs?  Who knows.  But there is a clearcut where rabbits were hid and they will pay.  I will be back and they will pay.  I will run them and run them and run them.  They better stay hid.
