It's cutting them loose and having the pack run the rabbit until it gives up and goes in a hole or gets caught. And although the dogs usually don't catch it, they run like they want to. Just me and my pack of hounds, in any condition, on any day, in the roughest places I can find . . .

End of the Road

I started to tell about running at the  place we call The End  Of The Road, and then remembered the phone  conversation I had with my good buddy, Larry  Harrrison this morning.   We discussed how the hunts are not as much fun as they were years ago. We complained about no rabbits, judging, etc.  However, after several minutes of complaining,  We decided The End Of The Road keeps getting closer and the body parts keep  wearing out.  Maybe, we need a new hobby like chasing women.

Anyway, the running was good today considering the conditions.  Rabbits were easy to come by, however most of the races were short.  I  only had 1 long chase.

I ran Head, Tony, Diamond, Jake, Andy, Benji, and Stubby.  Benji, my Superman young dog, and Head jumped 3 rabbits each.

You don't have time to be chasing women.... LOL You have to keep running them dogs or Mike won't have anything to laugh about when you and JR are arguing who has the best dog. Danie

  2. Danie,

I am glad that Mike thinks it is funny when I am trying to explain who is doing all the work. He should be used to it though, because his buddies, Ray and Jeff always know that their dogs are the best. No one can beat them at claiming checks and jumps.
