It's cutting them loose and having the pack run the rabbit until it gives up and goes in a hole or gets caught. And although the dogs usually don't catch it, they run like they want to. Just me and my pack of hounds, in any condition, on any day, in the roughest places I can find . . .

A Snowy Christmas Eve

Although I didn't really ask for, or want a white Christmas, when Dad and I hit the woods this morning, we had a couple of inches of snow along with a hard frost.  It was 26 degrees and I wasn't expecting too much when we hit the clearcut at Gibisonville.  Much to my surprise, we had a lot of rabbits and good running for the whole morning.

I tried my hand at shooting a little video.  Luckily I got a couple of good shots, one where the rabbit almost ran over me.  Sorry if the camera is a little jerky.  :)

I ran Rambler, Diamond, Village Girl, and Tony.  Dad ran Hot Head, Force, Lim, and and Stubby.
